Axeco Corporate Finance is pleased to have advised the Roerink Food Family
Heksenkaas BV from Oldenzaal, producer of the magical spread HEKS’NKAAS®, has joined Salad Signature. From the start, the Heksenkaas company was part of the Roerink Food Family, which also includes companies such as Zuivelhoeve, Happy Goat and IJsfabriek De Dessert Meesters. Under the new owner, Heksenkaas wants to spread its wings to other countries. Salad Signature is active in 9 European countries and can fulfill these export ambitions.
Salad Signature
Salad Signature (participation of IK Investment Partners) is a leading food company in the trendy salads and dips categories, consisting of several production companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. In the Netherlands, Salad Signature is best known for its salad brands Johma and Westland. The HEKS’NKAAS® brand is now being added to this.
Erik Bras (CEO Salad Signature): “The success of HEKS’NKAAS® in the Netherlands has certainly not passed us by. We think it is a very sympathetic brand and company. We are very happy to help Michel Wildenborg and his team to roll out the magic of HEKS’NKAAS® in other countries and to launch new products in the Netherlands and make the brand even stronger.”
Roerink Food Family
Gerjhan Roerink of Roerink Food Family, to which Heksenkaas BV belonged, is pleased to have found the right party with Salad Signature to further roll out the HEKS’NKAAS® brand. “We have made HEKS’NKAAS® a success in the Netherlands, it is now up to another party to match that success in Europe. Salad Signature is optimally able to do this and from that point of view this step is a very logical one.”
Heksenkaas BV
Michel Wildenborg, General Manager Heksenkaas BV is pleased with the development. “As an independent company in Oldenzaal, we continue to go our own way in the market, and with Salad Signature we have an owner who is fully capable of facilitating the desired European growth. We get a new owner, but nothing else really changes. Production will remain in Oldenzaal and as an independent company within Salad Signature we will remain responsible for our own growth and development with our current people.”
