18 Oct Duurzaam Opgewekt announced the acquisition of the asset portfolio of evoyo
On October 18, 2023, Duurzaam Opgewekt completed the acquisition of evoyo’s asset portfolio. The transaction encompasses the sale of all collective and individual all-electric installations and all ongoing development activities related to new construction projects. The Amsterdam-based company boasts a portfolio of 3,150 existing WEQ’s and 2,000 WEQ’s in development, primarily in projects located in North and South Holland.
Bob Bloemers, Director at Duurzaam Opgewekt, expressed, “Our goal is to grow to 35,000 WEQ’s by 2030. The acquisition of evoyo seamlessly aligns with our growth ambitions. Moreover, it’s a mutually reinforcing takeover. Both companies complement each other in terms of knowledge and experience, creating a perfect blend of human expertise and technology. This enables us to continuously learn from each other and elevate our service to a higher level.”
Over the past few weeks, both parties have been diligently working to ensure a smooth transition of the acquisition. Their shared commitment is putting the customer first. Bob Bloemers explained, “Consumers connected to a collective energy system don’t get to choose their energy supplier. Our guiding principle in an acquisition project is to ensure that residents experience no disruption due to the change in ownership. After all, they didn’t choose a new energy provider.”
